Matthew D’Odorico

I always consider myself extremely fortunate to work in a profession that I love and feel passionate about. Being born in raised in Sarnia I have come to love our community and find myself often thinking about how lucky we are to live in such a niche city with sky blue waters, breathtaking beaches, parks, golf courses great schools, neighbourhoods, high quality employment and so much more; a place we all love to call home. My passion for the business started as a teenager when we sold the family home. I was very interested in the whole process and found it fascinating. I remember how excited realtors were to talk about their profession and how rewarding their career has been for them. That while real estate is not easy, with a lot of hard work you can achieve anything.

After graduation from Northern Collegiate I was still uncertain about my future. I chose to attend our local Lambton College and went on to graduate from both the Fire Science Technology and Paramedic Programs. However, I still had a strong desire to become a real estate agent and so I decided to take my chances and immediately upon graduating, I enrolled for my real estate license. I can honestly say that after I got my license I never looked back.

I always wanted to work in a profession that helped people and gave me a chance to meet and get to know people. It’s now been more than nine years and I find being a Realtor gives me that sense of accomplishment that I was looking for. I help make houses homes and I find it very rewarding to sell a place in such a great community like Sarnia- Lambton. I love being a Realtor and I come to work every day with enthusiasm and a caring approach for all that I do.

After a few years of successfully selling I developed a great partnership with my friend and associate Nathaniel Deelstra. At some point we realized that by working together we would be able to better serve our diverse customers – some who want to buy or sell residential homes and some land or farms. Every day we bring our passion to work. We strive to be the best and work very well together, benefiting from each other’s strengths. Our customers are very important to us and we do our absolute best serve your needs. We believe in an honest, down to earth approach. We are always transparent and there with you every step of the way.

I still to this day have great love for what I do and always find myself talking about my business. I guess when you’re passionate about something it’s easy to talk about it. Real estate is very rewarding for me and I consider myself very lucky to have a loving wife who supports my 24/7 career, three beautiful children and a great business partner who has the same drive as me. It feels good to have such support and that makes me a better man every day.

I spent most of my life living and working right here in Lambton. We have a wonderful community here and I think it is a great place to raise a family. I myself come from a large family and grew up with seven siblings. We were raised on a dairy farm located just west of Wyoming, about a 15 min drive from Sarnia. Growing up on the farm, I learned the value of hard work, determination and dedication. I was lucky to be close to my family who always supported, mentored and encouraged me throughout my childhood and adult career.

After my graduation from L.C.C.V.I. in Petrolia, I was not completely sure about what I wanted to do. One of the available options was to help manage the family farm. However, with three of my brothers expressing interest in farming I felt that there was not enough room for all of us. I decided to instead focus on my lawn care business that I started in high school.

In addition to expanding my business, I began to be more involved in my hobby of buying and selling for resale. I was also helping local farmers when they needed assistance. Although my endeavors kept me busy and I enjoyed what I was doing, I did not feel the sense of fulfillment. I wanted career that I would feel passionate about and that I could wholly focus on.

While still trying to figure out what to do with my future, my good friend Matthew D’Odorico suggested that I would go into real estate. At the time, Matthew has already worked in real estate for a few years and was always excited to talk about his work. I figured I would give it a try. Shortly after, I enrolled into a program for real estate and later on got my real estate license. I went on to work with Magic Realty.

There are several reasons why I chose to stay in Lambton. I think the main reason that helped me make that decision was that I feel a strong connection to the area and the community, I have a lot of knowledge about Lambton and surrounding regions and I really like living here. I found working in real estate at times hectic but always exciting. From the very start of my career I always wanted to focus on providing the best customer service. This is one of the reasons why I partnered with Matthew. We both felt that this way we would be able to much better serve the needs of our diverse community and clientele.

Looking back, I am really happy with the decisions I have made. I enjoy being in real estate business and working with people. I and Matthew always do our best to put our clients first. That is something that we never wavered from. As we move forward, we always strive to be better and improve our clients’ experiences living up to our motto of “working one on one to achieve our client’s goals!”
